SAVE MONEY: LESS Expense, MORE Savings! (Top 10 Reasons Why You Should Work at home)

Some people would say working at home is a far more expensive than a regular job because of additional internet and electricity bills (buying laptop or computer can be added here for some) and I say: YES there will be additional expenses but NO it is not expensive.

No Fare/ Gas Allowance Anymore

Working at home, obviously, doesn't require you to shell out money everyday for fare or gas. Imagine the amount of money that you can save when you work inside the comforts of your home. Try to calculate your daily fare or gas allowance and compare it to your internet bill. Your fare allowance is most likely (depends on your distance from home to office) enough or even more than enough to cover your internet bill (depends on the internet plan you wish to subscribe). It doesn't really affect your usual budget, right? And think of the stress you can get rid off from daily commute and heavy traffic.

Less Food Allowance

Compute the amount of money you spend if you buy lunch every working day (not applicable to those who bring their lunch boxes religiously). When you work online, you dont have to go out and buy expensive meals, you just have to add a bit to your food budget. Does it mean you have to cook? Yes and no (again). Yes, if you are living alone but you have a very flexible time to cook plus you have the internet connection to browse for the best recipes that your food budget is not capable of buying you. No, if you are living with your family, you can just add budget to your family's food expenses. Plus, you don't have to forcefully swallow the same meals your canteen and other fast food chains offer. You get to choose what you want to eat and when you want it!

No Obligatory Buying of Expensive Clothes

Working at home doesn't require you to be on a formal attire while working and this means you dont have to buy expensive clothes against your will. Some companies are really strict when it comes to dress codes and some wont even provide you uniform or clothing allowance and that can really hurt your pocket every once in a while. While wearing formal is not required to most of online workers, it is still advisable to look professional, it gives your clients the impression that you are really professional even if you are working from home specially when you do video meetings regularly.

Additional Bills Vs. Investment

Working at home can truly add a bill to your expenses but if you think that online work is a business you will realize that those additional bills are actually investments.

Bills can really hurt your eyes because they are billed monthly with big amounts compared to fare and food expenses which come in little amounts but shelled out everyday. Bills come in to you mailed or emailed and you can see the expense physically when you get the receipt and you don't see that in fare and food because you are most likely to throw your receipts upon payment.

Try to compute your expenses on your regular job and compare it to expenses when you work online to see it for yourself.
